Wagner puts it well:
“In today’s world, public relations and marketing should be designed to facilitate dialog and stimulate interest that will lead someone to learn — on his or her own — more about your product or service.
Just Dating
Author: Jill Dellamalva
“What time do you want to go to my family’s house on Christmas Eve?” you ask your boyfriend of two months. You’re looking forward to introducing him to your relatives because you’ve been bragging to them that your relationship has been perfect so far.
A few of you may have received an invite to join last.fm from me a few days ago. After reading that last.fm was to be purchased by CBS I decided to get off my duff and check out the fine site. The premise is simple; install the last.fm client and start listening to music. The site will track the music you listen to and over time formulate a “profile” of sorts. Based on your listen habits it can recommend other songs, bands or even user’s who have similar tastes in music. That may sound great but the real “killer feature” of last.fm is that you can sample thousands of tracks as well as tune into other user’s “stations” and hear what they are listening too.

The new and cool feature of last.fm is that you can actually find “friends” who like the same music as you and best of all it’s done automatically.
That is, until you hear his response to your question.
“Oh,” he says, turning a little red. “I didn’t think we’d be spending the holidays together with each other’s families. You know, we’re just dating.”
“That’s a pathway that doesn’t always lend itself to neat and tidy ROI measurement. But don’t let that fear stop you from taking the road less traveled.”
